The Best Travel Gear For Your 7 Months Old Baby While Onboard

Hi, I wanna share about my first experience of carrying a 7-months-old baby on a plane. So the first time I took my daughter on the plane for a staycation to Belitung Island, in November 2018.

I know that every mother will feel worried when taking her baby on the plane, but if everything is well prepared, your trip will be smooth. Likewise with me, 3 days before departure, I prepared all my baby equipment by making a list and itinerary properly. I traveled for 3 days in Belitung.

So here the list of my Best Travel Gear for my 7-months-old baby while onboard,

1. Baby changing equipment, toiletries, wet wipes and dry wipes

While on the plane, bring a change of clothes that are long and warm. Because when you are at a high altitude, it will feel cold on the plane. so if your baby is poop and has to change clothes, then make sure the clothes are long, do not wear sleeveless.

Then don't forget to bring wet wipes, dry wipes, and toiletries. The soap provided in the airplane bathroom is a  soap for adults and not suitable for babies.
But maybe if you ask the flight attendants, they will provide it for you, but it would be better if we use our own, because it is safer and more comfortable :)

2. Snack food for children, such as biscuits or extra milk

When at altitude, there will be a difference in pressure on the plane, and of course it will make your child uncomfortable. As a preparation, we can bring the child's favorite snacks, so it can divert your child's anxiety a little and still feel comfortable during the trip. Because my daughter loves biscuits so much when on the plane she really enjoys the food and doesn't get upset.

3. Bring a Blanket / Jacket

Similar to the first point, jackets and blankets are used to make children warm and comfortable. This is a solution if you don't want to dress your child in long clothes, and still want to make your child look fashionable with short sleeves.

4. Earmuff

Carrying earmuffs is optional, because sometimes your baby is not used to wearing earmuffs and tends to be uncomfortable, so it becomes fussy and makes you overwhelmed. But just in case for the convenience of your trip you can still bring your earmuff. As you know that some advantages of wearing earmuffs include: provide more consistent protection than plugs. one size fits most heads. easy to put on and take off.

5. Your Child's Favorite Toy

The thing that you must bring with you while on the trip is your child's favorite toy. because by bringing the toy, your child will avoid feeling bored and keep him focused and not fussy.

Bring a toy that makes a sound/song, for example a rattle or a doll that can sing. The goal is to distract your baby so that he stays calm.
